Antique Early Divided Back Era ADVERTISING Postcard 1907-1915 of Haines The Shoe Wizard and Shoe House out of YORK, PENNSYLVANIA. By the looks of the scenery on the card, York must have been a very small, rural town or village back then. It has come a long way since then as it is now the county seat of York County, PA and the 11 largest city in Pennsylvania! This fact just adds to the collectibility of this card in showing its early history. The Shoe House was literally a shoe house - a large building in the shape of a shoe in the middle of farmers’ fields. A very unique place indeed!! Standard size 5.5” x 3.5”. Postally unused. A rather light weight card in terms of thickness. In good condition according to postcard rating system with worn corners and the upper left one being noticeably bent, but not detrimental to the overall appearance of the card in my opinion.
