Antique Hood Rubber advertising key chain tag or watch fob.
Image of Hood Tire Flag Man on one side and marked “HOOD Rubber Canvas FOOTWEAR” on the other side.
Magnet does not stick.
Measures 1 13/16” high [including loop] by 15/16” at widest point.
Per an old advertisement, “Hood Rubber Products Company, Inc. – better rubber products since 1896 – manufactured pneumatic and solid tires, rubber footwear, canvas footwear, rubber heels and soles, and rubber specialties.”
The tire plant closed 10/9/1920.
Fob has patina and marks consistent with use and age.
