Here is a great old victorian antique lady portrait General Store advertising tip tray from the George Hessick store which was in New Athens ILL in St Clair County Illinois.   For Best Quality and Best Prices.  The tray does not say New Athens, but this was bought near New Athens at a sale and Hessicks Store was a huge store there in town where George Hessick resided in the 1910-1930 era and ran his store.  The tray is about 8 inches tall or so, and 4-5 inches wide.  Some general scratching and rust on the edges, but not bad.  Very presentable ad tray, says Doris, A.A. W. which was Advertising Art Works in Coshocton Ohio OH based where millions of early trays and sign products were made for business's across the U.S.   There are no holes in the tray, and overall it is a grade 8 or so on a 10 scale I would guess. Does not say New Athens, but this is definitely from there!! New Athens is near Belleville, East E St Louis, Marissa, Freeburg, Mascoutah, Highland, Nashville Pinckneyville Duquoin, Chester, Sparta, Evansville, Red Bud, Waterloo, Columbia, Valmeyer, Granite City, Lebanon, O'Fallon, Edwardsville, Alton, baldwin, Millstadt, St Libory, Venedy, Okawville, etc outside St Louis MO Missouri.
