---  I don't know the time period (I have it listed in the pre-1920 category but it may be more contemporary than that).  Face/front is about 1-1/16" x 1-3/4".  Inside width of belt channel on the back is 1" and the belt loop is 1" on the inside at the widest point (although it might not accommodate a 1" wide belt, might be a little too tight for that).  The loop and clamp are I assume not sterling, the loop has plating loss and some old residue of some kind.  In the photos you can see two patches on the back under the loop that look copper colored, in person that looks more like surface silver tarnish rather than wear through the surface.  I didn't polish the buckle so there is some tarnish on the front.  Surfaces show wear with fine scratches/nicks and marks.  Stamped with Swank logo and sterling on the back.  I couldn't find any similar examples of this buckle
