Hawker Siddeley Trident Chinese Designation:三叉戟 Original, ca. 1960s, Chinese Identification/Spotter Model used by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Militia for training Original Chinese Identification/Spotter Model used by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Militia for training purposes. Silver and blue paint and PLAAF decals. This model has no designation or scale markings. Length: approximately 26.5 cm (including tail) Wingspan; 20 cm Weight: 103 g The Hawker Siddeley HS 121 Trident (originally the de Havilland D.H.121 and the Airco DH 121) was a British short and medium-range airliner. It was the first T-tail rear-engined, three-engined jet airliner to be designed. The Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) purchased a total of 39 Tridents, with the first aircraft and related components delivered in December 1970. In 1971 the PLAAF utilized a Trident for astronaut weightlessness training.
