The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is a four blade, twin engine, medium-lift utility helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. The first flight of the Black Hawk was on 17 October, 1974. The UH-60A Black Hawk first entered service with the United States Army in 1979.
The 101st Army Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) is a light infantry division of the United States Army specializing in air assault operations. They are able to plan, coordinate and execute multiple battalion size air assault operations capable of seizing key terrain in support of operational objectives, and are capable of working in austere environments with limited or degraded infrastructure.
The UH-60 Black Hawk entered service with the United States Army's 101st Combat Aviation Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division in June of 1979.
