    Ford Aerospace PAVE TACK Pod Desk Model, Vietnam USAF Aircraft, F-111 A-7D F-4
    This is a Vietnam War era desk model of the PAVE TACK pod manufactured by Ford Aerospace. It was a target designator carried by USAF aircraft such as the F-111, A-7D and the F-4 Phantom. This model looks like something that was made in house by Ford Aerospace. The main body is solid resin, the rotating designator part is resin and the shield around it appears to be fiberglass. The stand is made of 1/2" thick Plexiglass or Lucite. The model is very well made and heavy for it's size. It measures about 10 1/4" long and is about 4 1/2" tall on it's stand. It is in overall very good condition. There is a small chip on the corner of the fiberglass shield around the designator end. I have shown this in the photos. The color looks darker in the photos than it is to the eye. The designator end piece rotates 360 degrees and the designator ball part rotates about 90 degrees.  Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close or high bidder loses all right to property.
