    Description

The General Dynamics (later to become Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single engine multi-role jet fighter aircraft originally developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). It evolved into an all-weather multi-role aircraft capable of sustaining 9G turns. The F-16  is relatively inexpensive to purchase and maintain, so the U.S. and 25 other countries added them to their inventory. This aircraft is known by it's pilots as the "Viper" and will remain in the USAF inventory until 2025.
On November 20, 2010, Lockeed Martin delivered this aircraft, 07-0004 MSN JE-4, an F16C Block 52, as one of six to the Pakistan Air Force Number 5 Squadron "Falcons", and assigned it serial number 10904. Pakistan received twelve "C" varients and six "D" varients of the F-16 between June of 2010 and February of 2012. Pakistan's number 5 squadron is the second oldest and was formed on August 15, 1947. The Number 5 Squadron is Pakistan's only F-16 squadron and is located at Shahbaz Air Base.
