    Description

    Interesting facts:
The graphic design of Air Force One was selected by Jacqueline Kennedy from several designs submitted by the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy.  Loewy was noted for his design work across many different industries and designed the logos for Shell, Exxon, TWA and British Petroleum.  He designed the Greyhound Scenicruiser bus and the current design of the Lucky Strike cigarette package.  He also was noted as the designed of the 'Swirl' pattern that was used on the china dinner service of Pan American World Airways in the mid 1950's.
Originally this paint scheme for Air Force One was applied to the Boeing 707 that carried President and Mrs. Kennedy around the world and is noted sadly as the aircraft that carried the president's body back to Washington, D.C. from Dallas after his assassination in November of 1963.
