Satsuma Thousand Faces Covered Jar Incense(?)-See Pictures

Offering is a Satsuma 'Thousand Faces' Jar with a pierced lid. Not sure of the age of this, but is nicely made. Also not sure of what this is used for, possibly Incense. I have checked it over and havent found any damage or cracks. It appears to have had paper stickers on the base which leads me to think this possibly is from the 1920's. Again I have no expertise in this particular item.I have taken a lot of pictures and will take more upon request. I will let the winning bidder to identify. It is made of a thin pottery type material and has 'raised' figures of people on the exterior of the jar. Approx 10" tall and 6 1/2" wide.

It is made of a thin pottery type material and has 'raised' or relief figures of people on the exterior of the jar. The jar with lid measures approximately 10" tall and is approximately 6 1/2" wide at its widest point.

Please note I only charge what I am charged for shipping of any item. Due to the new package constraints with USPS. I will ship heavy, large items via FEDEX. Please message me for cost. If you pay for USPS I will refund your difference should it be considerably less via FEDEX. Please let me know if you cannot accept FEDEX. I use the Global shipping program for international packages. If you would like to not use that, please message me. PLEASE NOTE check your shipping costs before buying. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. All items are usually shipped 24-48 hours after receipt of payment. Some exceptions apply such as postal holiday or extreme weather.

Refunds only if item is grossly not as described and must be the exact item shipped to you unused, unopened if new,  with all original wrapping and any attached tags.
