    Description

    The
VVA-14 (Vertical-taking off amphibian, modification: 14M1P ekranolet) is an experimental Soviet apparatus (seaplane, bomber and torpedo bomber) designed by Robert Bartini, a Soviet aircraft designer of Italian origin. It was created as a device that has the ability to take off and land on the water both as a conventional aircraft and as a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. First flight - September 4, 1972. Due to the difficulties in developing the necessary engines for vertical takeoff, the last modification (14M1P) was carried out, which turned the apparatus into an ekranoplan (1976)
